Howard Keim to leave Hesston College

After 11 years of leadership at Hesston College, Howard Keim will leave his post effective June 30, 2016.

“I am grateful for the trust that has been placed in me the last decade as I have served Hesston College,” said Keim in his announcement to students during chapel on October 26. “I have always viewed myself as a steward, not an owner of the office of president, and it has been my goal to ensure students are well-served and the mission of the college was advanced and strengthened and for the future.”

A search committee has is being constructed to search for another candidate to fill the presidential position for the 2016-2017 academic year. Ken Kabira, a member of the Hesston College Board of Directors will chair the committee, working alongside other members appointed from the Mennonite Education Agency, Hesston College faculty, and Mennonite community members.

No candidates have been declared so far.
