Students react to Yost Center renovation IT Department | September 17, 2019 | Features, Home Feature | No Comments “When I use the training room, the chiropractor usually comes by but he can’t at the moment. It feels a little chaotic with the construction and all that. The gym is beautiful and it’s nice to come into the gym as a freshman.” -Rachel Weaver, freshman soccer player “I miss the atmosphere of the old gym, but like the newness of the new one. Overall, I am very happy with how everything is turning out, and I can't wait to see how it turns out.” -Paulina Diaz, sophomore volleyball player “I feel like all the new additions gives it a lot of energy and it’s a relief to practice there and it gets us more excited to play. The only thing that I would complain about is the air conditioning.” -Alexie Tibbs, freshman basketball player “I really like the Yost Center; the floor is amazing. I love the way that it feels and just the atmosphere with the new bleachers and the paintings on the wall. The training room looks beautiful, the floors and all the equipment in there looks amazing and really helps our athletes stay safe and in healthy conditions. It can get a little warm in the gym, with no a/c so you definitely work up a good sweat.” -Tre McCullough, freshman basketball player Mikayla Ognissanti- “It is a lot different than it was before. The hardwood is really nice, and the offices are nice as well. I can’t wait to see what the new weight room looks like and for the construction to be done.” -Mikayla Ognissanti, freshman softball player “I really love the new court and how its centered in the gym and not off to the side like last year. It makes playing volleyball alot more enjoyable, but the floor is not very easy to dive on.” -Madison Ward, freshman volleyball player "The renovations on Yost are way past the due date, but once the new facility is complete it will bring a new game-changing atmosphere to Yost and all its athletic events." -Chance Elliot, sophmore basketball player Related Posts Marissa King discovers her unearned status No Comments | Mar 30, 2012 Student announcer jump-starts her career 1 Comment | Feb 23, 2017 Holi Festival: A photo gallery by Sarah Booth No Comments | Mar 30, 2017 Athlete of the Week: Bethany Snow No Comments | Feb 9, 2015 About The Author itdept Add a Comment Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
