Vienna Boys Choir comes to Hesston College

One of the biggest names in concert choirs took a detour from Carnegie Hall to Hesston Mennonite Church Nov. 9 for an unprecedented concert. Booked at the biggest concert venues such as Dunham Theater and Tarrytown Music Hall, the group performed for a packed audience.

Students as well as locals attended the two-hour show. The performance surpassed student expectations.  

“I myself went in with high expectation and was impressed by the quality of sound and engaging performance,” Sophomore Noah Yoder said.

The Vienna Boys’ Choir is a choir of boy sopranos and altos based in Vienna, Austria. Dating back to the middle ages it is one of the best known boys’ choirs in the world. Composed of approximately 100 singers between the ages of 10 and 14, the choir travels the world to give concerts and are highly demanded.
