Campus Style Watch: A Sneak Peek for Graduation Week
|by Eleya Raim – Horizon Features Editor
Graduation is quickly approaching. But, graduation doesn’t just bring diplomas, goodbyes and transitions. Graduation is a time for great fashion as the ladies frantically shop for new frocks and guys pull out the outfit that they wore for high school graduation. So, as you shop, remember to keep all in good taste, as the audience does sit below you and dislikes to uncomfortably squirm in their seats, hoping not to see more than they want to (I’m talking to the ladies here) and to buy that ensemble that says “formal and classy” not “clubwear and trashy.” Guys, don’t forget to try on the pants (you may have lovely ankles, but this is probably not the time to model them) and iron out those wrinkles that come from stuffing the dress shirt under a pile of clean laundry, textbooks and snacks. Have fun and enjoy the reward of all of your hard work.

How has your sense of style changed since you started college at Hesston? “My style hasn’t really changed. I like to make any outfit look a little more put together with earrings or a scarf. At Hesston, I spend less time and money on clothes because of some of the good finds in the Mod Swap Boxes.”
Advice for choosing a graduation outfit? “Would you want your grandma to see you in that?”
