Why is this outfit one of your spring favorites?

I really like this outfit because it is very versatile and colorful.  Short-sleeve, button-up shirts are great for the spring because they can be tucked in and worn to events like church, or they can paired with jeans or khaki shorts and be more informal.  The boat shoes I am wearing are some of my favorites because they have lasted me a very long time and the worn-in leather is very comfortable.  They can also be worn with just about anything and look a lot classier than tennis shoes.”

What do you think that your sense of style says about your personality?  “One reason I personally dress a little more formal than most is simply that it makes me feel more presentable and professional for life.  Maybe that sounds a little crazy but when I wear sweatpants and tennis shoes all day, I feel more lazy and carefree.  I want to show up to class or social events looking like I care.  There is also an aspect of showing others that I don’t need to be like the majority to have confidence. A stereotype is that it is effeminate for a male to care about fashion and appearance, but I say it’s more self-defining to break these stereotypes and dress how you want.  After all, it’s about what you like, not about what others say you should like/dislike.  So on that note, even wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt could work for some!”

What’s one fashion trend that everyone should be follow this spring (or one piece that everyone should be wearing)?  “One thing that every male in college could benefit from is a nice button-up, short-sleeved shirt.  They can be worn with a lot of different pants and they look a lot nicer than a printed t-shirt.  This also adds more variety and gives you more options in the spring and summer besides wearing a t-shirt every day.”

Why is this outfit one of your spring favorites?

“This is one of my favorite spring outfits because it is cool, and airy, but still keeps me somewhat warm when the sun goes behind the clouds in the spring. Plus i really like floral print!”

What do you think that your sense of style says about your personality?

“I am not really sure what my sense of style says about my personality, other than it is pretty casual. I like warm colors because I think it is comforting and I would like to think I am someone with a warm personality who can be welcoming to others. I don’t want to be intimidating, and I think that is definitely something that can happen depending on the style you have.”

What’s one fashion trend that everyone should be follow this spring (or one piece that everyone should be wearing)?

“I think that people should definitely be wearing whatever they feel best expresses themselves! One thing in particular that I love during the spring is a Kimono (that is what I am wearing in the picture). They are a nice light covering that is stylish and adds to your outfit!”

Why is this outfit one of your spring favorites?  “I think that pink seems like a spring color to me! Also, I tend to be cold, so I like wearing longer pants in the spring but still wear a bright color.”

What do you think that your sense of style says about your personality? “I think my sense of style says that I (usually) care about my appearance and like to try different things.”

What’s one fashion trend that everyone should be follow this spring (or one piece that everyone should be wearing)?

“Something I really like to do is roll up skinny jeans so they are cuffed and shorter. I think they go with anything and feel like spring to me!”
